Year 5

Welcome to the summer term!

We hope that you have had a lovely break over the holidays and are feeling refreshed for the next half term.  Our next topic is  'The Tudors.' This is an exciting topic and we are also going on a trip to Speke Hall to find out more.

During this term we will be gaining lots of new responsibilities; including looking forward to visiting year 6 and learning new jobs from the current year 6.

In English we are studying 'The Wizard of Oz' as our classic text and writing a persuasive piece of writing from this text. This also links with our school performance, which many of you are part of.  In Math we will look at shape and space and statistics as well as continually revisiting number, calculation measure reasoning problems. Our Science topic will be out of this world- 'Space!'

This term our PE day is on a Wednesday and we will be practising athletics. Please make sure that you have your PE kit in. Homework is given out on a Friday and should be back in school by the following Tuesday.

We are looking forward to working with you all as you quickly grow and mature!
