Year 1

Welcome back!!

We hope you all had an enjoyable break! This term we will be looking at transport in our topic 'Up, Up and Away!' How do you get to school? We are also looking at Euro 2016. How would we get to France? How long would it take?

Our first topic in maths is shapes. The are shapes everywhere! You can spot 2D shapes in 3D shapes and see all sorts of patterns and problems to solve with shape! Don't forget to continue to practise your number bonds, times tables and addition and subtraction!

We have a spelling quiz every Friday in year one and reading books are changed on a Tuesday and a Friday. Keep practising your spellings at home and reading as much as possible.

This term both classes will be doing dance. We can't wait to see all of your moves! Please bring your PE kit into school and leave it in until half term.
