The children from both year 4 and 5 have been studying Roman Britain. They have investigated many aspects of Roman life from food, jewellery and religion. During the children's D&T lessons they have designed and made a Roman shield.
The photographs above show the children using their shields to create the Testudo or tortoise formation.
Well done to all those Roman Legions. You have all produced some fantastic work.
